Fishtails & polkadots are the perfect ingredients for a summer ensemble, and this outfit is no exception. My week away for work is coming to an end and i'm ready to return to the promise land, which is my hometown of course. The forecast this weekend calls for date nights and frozen yogurt. Happy Monday readers! This monsoon season that Atlanta is facing has me turning to pastels to lighten the mood. I have been yearning for a crochet lace skirt and finding one at Forever 21 was shocking enough to swoop it up.

Lovelies, I had the most incredible vacation! It's good to be back, but I wouldn't have minded a few more days on the island :) Today's outfit is inspired by some of the exotic colors that we saw in the Cayman Islands, turquoise water and orange sunsets.

Today's look is the closest to spring that we have gotten in a while. I love pairing neutrals with neutrals and adding a pop of color,  it's kinda my signature and teal being my favorite color - it's only fitting. This headband was originally bought for my engagement shoot this weekend but I couldn't help but wear it just one time before. This outfit is well balanced with  the gold spikes on my sandals and a silver headband in my hair- #twotone

I don't know about you guys, but it seems to me that gray is the new black. 
This softer, warmer shade of the bottom-line basic has the world wrapped 
around it's pretty little finger. Whether it's printed text or the neutral piece 
in your wardrobe- gray is making a comeback and claiming it's rightfully 
owned spot in your closet. 

So make room. This trend is staying for a while.

Black & White w/ Some Color

I woke up this morning texting my sister and asking her what I should wear today. She called me back and told me to wear a black and white polka dot skirt with a mustard yellow top. (specific, huh) She then proceeded to tell me that she saw a black and white skirt on ASOS for $36 dollars and was considering getting it. I told her to send it to me (I like to sign off on all her purchases to make sure it's a good deal, and you know, in case I want it too). So while I didn't have what she described, this is my DIY version. How'd I do?
