GOT THE BLUES' - Chambray & Boyfriend Blazer

I got so many comments asking me how my braid was so, well, fluffy. It's a subtle difference, but there are three steps for a more dramatic side braid. Step 1) Part your hair on the opposite side of your natural part, if you have a center part (lucky!) just choose the side that feels most unnatural and create a deep side part. Step 2) Braid your hair starting with the group furthest away from your face. This will create that little bang pocket near your face. Step 3) Pull the braid apart, gently. Try flattening pieces of the braid by tugging at the strands. This is the key to a fuller, fluffier braid. Voilà!

You may remember this tunic from my 5 Style Necessities post a few weeks ago, and while I was rounding up my picks for you -- I had to get this one for me. The length is a bit long which isn't necessarily bad because I do enjoy being able to pull a cute top over leggings. Voila! However, the beautiful lace detail makes me want to  be able to tuck this top into a skirt for a more business casual look and my gut tells me that the excess fabric will make it look bulky. 

My favorite way to accessorize a simple look like this is with few bold pieces of jewelry. I opted for a thicker gold hoop earring and love the way it accents the purple in the top. 

I can't wait to play with this tunic more and hopefully it comes back in stock so you all can pick one up too!

I don't know about you guys, but it seems to me that gray is the new black. 
This softer, warmer shade of the bottom-line basic has the world wrapped 
around it's pretty little finger. Whether it's printed text or the neutral piece 
in your wardrobe- gray is making a comeback and claiming it's rightfully 
owned spot in your closet. 

So make room. This trend is staying for a while.

Hey loves, today is a special day because it's Friday and the last day that I will come to work being 21. Monday is my 22nd birthday and while I actually don't think / want it to be a big deal this year, I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my family & friends. I want to make some goals for my 22nd year, almost like resolutions- can you do resolutions for your birthday? Is that even allowed?

I'll work on it this weekend and give you guys an updated list.

I am so sorry. Being MIA is one of my many talents and although unintentional it seems to happen more often then I would hope. On the bright side, in all of my spare time from NOT blogging I have been able to partake in multiple shopping sprees (my poor credit card is not happy) and I have MANY new goodies to share with you guys- including a Kohls haul just this past weekend.
