PRETTY IN POLKA DOTS: B&W Polka Dot Sweater + Pink Scarf
Polka Dot Sweater: F21 - Same Here - $22
Skinny Jeans: AEO - Same Here - $35 (40% off)
Rain Boots: Kohls - Same Here - $50
Scarf: Purchased in Spain - Similar Here - $24
No one believed me when I told them that I was wearing rain boots. I don't blame them either. I had my heart set on Hunters for the longest time, but I didn't think that it rained enough in Atlanta to justify such a deep purchase (then the weather Gods gave us a monsoon summer.) After that, I realized I had to get a pair. When I saw these online at Kohls for under $50, I knew they were the ones. These boots are lightweight, stylish, and very easy to clean. They don't weigh you down so you can even keep them on all day, instead of just wearing them to and from your destination. I feel pretty good about this purchase and have a feeling i'm going to get a lot of use out of them with how Atlanta seems to be turning into Forks, Washington recently...
(a little Twilight humor, I apologize.)

FAUX FUR FEVER: Fur + Leather
Faux Fur Sweatshirt: A&E - Similar Here - $48
Black Pants: LC at Kohls - Similar Here - $42
Black Boots: Guess - Similar Here - $80
Confession time, I wore this outfit a wee bit too early. With no exaggeration, at least 7 people told me "You know it's not that cold outside." Yah, I get it. We live in Atlanta when it's freezing in April and 80 degrees in October. Well, truth be told I couldn't wait to slip into this fuzzy warm pullover. Sure I was a little warm, but hell, I was comfy.

You can't certain about many things in life. Can't be certain about the people you meet or how your day will go, but you can be certain about one thing: the sun will rise again tomorrow. Regardless of if you spend your day lying in a bed or stuck in a cubicle, the dawn will become dusk, and the cycle will repeat it's again tomorrow.
What will you do with your day?
P.S. My hair was inspired by this great pin !

There is a certain level of fascination that comes with telling people that
my lovely honey bun is comprised of a sock. Yes, a sock. A good ol' men's dress
sock (sorry bf). It's not as glamourous as it sounds though, but hey thats why they
call it tricks of the trade right?
What are your favorite beauty tricks?

THE PONYTAIL: Polka Dots + Orange Blazer
Polka Dot Blouse: H&M (similar here @ CR for $23)
Orange Blazer: F21 (similar here @ Tobi for $30)
Dark Jeans: Levi (similar here @AE for $30)

I love wearing a pop of color with my wardrobe. This blazer was a fabulous
find at Forever 21 (it's amazing the things you can luck out and find there!)
It pairs well with neutral colors but also with prints- like this lovely polka dot.
What's your favorite accent color?

MINT & CHOCOLATE: BLOUSE & RIDING BOOTS
MINT TOP: H&M (SIMILAR HERE)
Mint & Chocolate is one of my favorite color combinations. Not only
does it remind me of Andes Mints (who doesn't love those) but it's an
ideal balance of contrast, color, and shadow.
A good pair of boots is like a good friend. You can count on them, no matter
what the event. They go with just about everything, and not to mention you
find yourself more and more dependent on them. The leather molds just right,
the shaft height is perfectly below the knee, and most of all they are just
so comfortable.
It's funny just how many compliments that I get on my boots. They ask me
where I found such great distressed shoes, little do they know, I did it myself!
It's the perfect balance of disregard for leather sealant and heartlessly wearing them
in the rain. But as much as I love these rustic beauties, I think it may be time
to retire them.
I'll cut down slowly, a few outfits at a time. You know, don't want to go all
cold turkey on them. But just like the best way to get over a man is to get with
another one, I need to find a new pair of boots.
I'm open to suggestions, feel free to send some my way!
