When I first looked for a faux fur vest, I thought I wanted something cropped. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled onto this faux fur vest from Forever 21 (years ago, but it's restocked here) and loved it. The longline look is perfect to pair with dresses and longer blouses and the hood is a nice feature to have. Not to mentioned, it's so warm! Morale of the story, you never know what you are going to like!

It's cold in the office. Really cold. Actually, it's cold everywhere. [yes, i'm in Atlanta] I'm just one of those people who should walk around with a personal heater blanket wrapped around them all the time. Lucky for me, this wookie-style vest does the job - and is more acceptable in public than my snuggie. It's pretty much what i've been living in all winter-long. 

I hope that groundhog is right... I miss my sundresses.

Happy Saturday! I had to share one of my favorite looks of the week. This Chicwish dress landed me in the Jezebel Magazine's Best- Dressed Atlanta list in September, so it's obviously a keeper. I decided to dress it up for fall with a longline faux fur vest and nude pumps. This ensemble kept me warm and trendy. How do you transition your favorite summer pieces to fall?

So a few weeks back, I saw some of my favorite bloggers rocking Fresh Lily's shoes and I was pretty jealous. I love the flat loafer style (this is coming from someone who hardly wears flats) & how seriously comfortable they are. If that wasn't enough, the price point is amazing + Lily's is a great brand. The company's goal is to be reminiscent of your local farmer's market with lots of variety, bold colors, and low prices. I was sold when I found out that Lily's works with the National Young Farmer's Coalition, and a portion of each pair of Lily's sold goes to the NYFC. These shoes and comfortable, affordable, and stylish - and I am a big fan!

I strongly believe the Leopard should be considered a neutral which is why I decided to add these shoes into my 30x30 collection. Day two and still holding up strong! Be sure to check out my friends at Afternoon Style & Quirky Britches who are also doing the 30 x 30 challenge.

This is actually happening. It's cold outside -- and not like ooh, what a nice breeze cold no, like frigid cold. I swear that anyone who ever moved to Atlanta for it's predictable weather is sorely regretting it. 

I digress. Let's talk about this vest. I know, I know -- and its only $40. When I read the reviews of this piece there were people complaining that the vest had a hood. Are you kidding me? The hood is obviously the best part (eskimo mode optional). Also, if the modest price tag didn't give it away this vest is obviously made of faux fur. 

I've been noticing myself getting more sensitive to animal rights. Not in a Khloe K PETA ad / flour bombing type of way, but I do not believe in skinning for clothing. I love fashion just as much as the next guy significantly more than anyone I know, and this is just something that we can do without.
