Can't believe I made it to the middle of the week! Not going to lie, the struggle has been real. For months now, I've known that March was going to be tough. But I never imagined it would be quite like this. I knew that working for the March Madness team would (of course) be long hours, and therefore less time to do other things on my plate, including: blogging, Runway (my fiance and my Photo Booth business) home responsibilities, and of course planning my wedding. I'm trying to find time to do the things that are important to me, even if that means working out at 11 PM to get my hour in every single day -- and then blogging till 1 AM afterwards. It's going to be a tough month, but i'll make it though. What doesn't kill you.. right?

Happy Memorial Day weekend! This look is ready for the casual weekend ahead which for me will be enticed with family, friends, food, and fun. I've wanted a pair of boyfriend jeans for years, but somehow the fit was never right. When I stumbled upon these "straight" jeans from AEO, the fit was more "boyfriend" on me. The subtle deconstruction keeps the look casual, and perfect for what I was looking for.

WEDNESDAY WISHLIST: DEJA VU

I have to be honest, I hesitated a lot when creating this post. Usually every Wednesday I share my latest source of inspiration with you all. Whether it's colorful clutches or thrifty jewels - there is always something new to share. This post however, is troublesome because earlier in the year I shared a Wednesday Wishlist: Stripes Edition with you. While the trend is the same, the pieces are entirely different and I believe, this really speaks to what a versatile trend this is. Whether it's during winter woes or summertime sunshine, stripes always work. I actually picked up the maxi dress on the bottom left for myself from Target last week and that was the source of my inspiration. I find myself carrying my Kate Spade tote almost daily and am absolutely obsessed. What can I say, i'm really digging the stripes right now (plus they go great with my NYX wine lipstick!)

MIXING PRINTS

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was as always far too short and not nearly as productive as I wanted it to be, but all's well that ends well. This dress was a gift from my sweet (future) brother-in-law for Christmas and i've been loving wearing it a few different ways. Shift dresses paired with wedges shift the ensemble from cushy to casual. Try it out!

I've come to find that I love stripes. I just do. It's crazy how one pattern manages to never go out of style. My favorite fall bag (Kate Spade here), mini skirt, and winter coat are all black & white stripes. I'm a total fashion mess when I forget and wear them all together (oops!) 

Women splurge on different things. Some of us are shoe people, some jewelry people, and others are handbag people. I don't generally find myself investing in mid to high priced shoes or jewelry because I like changing it up often and having a variety. Handbags are one thing that I do invest in. I believe a good handbag should last you two seasons and therefore should be able to transcend from winter to spring or summer to fall.

I spent all weekend dodging conversations and social media posts about the new Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie. All I know, is that it has rave reviews. I was a huge fan of the books when I read them a few years ago and the second was my favorite. If it was up to me, I would have gone to the midnight opening in my Effie Trinket best -- but my friends would probably disown me. So I am patiently waiting for everyone to catch up on the second book and Wednesday night, it is going down. AMC style.
