BLACK & WHITE LACE

Dress: Borrowed - Similar Here or Here - $49  //  Black Tights: H&M - Similar Here - $23  //  Black Heels: Kohls - Same Here - $21

& We're back.
This weekend I had so much fun visiting Philadelphia, where my sister is an MBA candidate at Wharton. The fiance and I ate bagels, visited the Liberty Bell, and walked so much that i'm pretty sure my Fuelband thinks it was stolen by a Nigerian track star. Otherwise, a great weekend overall and the perfect start to what is my birthday week.

Tomorrow is the big day, bring on the cake!

PRETTY IN LACE

Dress: F21 - Similar Here - $48  //  Black Tights: c/o Kushyfoot - Same Here - $9  //  Necklace: eBay  //  Belt: Fiore - Similar Here - $32
Leopard Flats: c/o Kushyfoot - Same Here - $10  //  Lace up Boots: c/o OnlineShoes.com - Similar Here - $40 // Bracelet: c/o Petits-Tresors

Wow, old clothes never felt newer. I am so excited to wear this hybrid outfit: a summer dress with opaque tights. When Kushyfoot sent me these awesome goodies I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. It seems like there is an eternal quest for good tights that won't run, stay warm, & are stylish. These are the ones. I chose to pair my fleece-lined tights with my own stylish version of combat boots. I got these lace up heeled boots from Onlineshoes.com and have been dying to wear them (ugh, 30x30).

Ever been in heels all night and just wanted to slip into flats? Well duh, haven't we all? Another awesome product from Kushyfoot are their "Flats to Go". My secret: I keep these under my office desk at work. As soon as I get to work, I kick off my heels and slip these shoes on. They are so comfy and the leopard print (since leopard is essentially a neutral) goes well with all my outfits. Kushyfoot products are super affordable so i'm excited to be sharing this brand with you.

Happy Monday readers!

I spent all weekend dodging conversations and social media posts about the new Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie. All I know, is that it has rave reviews. I was a huge fan of the books when I read them a few years ago and the second was my favorite. If it was up to me, I would have gone to the midnight opening in my Effie Trinket best -- but my friends would probably disown me. So I am patiently waiting for everyone to catch up on the second book and Wednesday night, it is going down. AMC style.

Are you a fan of the series? How was the movie? (no spoilers please!)

If you are like me and try to disconnect over the weekend, you may have missed my big announcement: Simply Sabrina is turning 3 this week & to celebrate i'm giving away $50 to Macys! Enter my giveaway here!

5 Celebrities that I want to be BFFIRLs (best friends forever in real life)with:

Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson is known to be one of the most down-to-earth musical artists in the industry. Her success is a result of strong, female empowering music that is raw and real. She was the first artist after Destiny's Child who's record I could listen to on repeat for months. Plus she got engaged in UGGs, and that's awesome.

Lucy Hale
Lucy is my favorite of the PLLs. Maybe because she reminds me the most of myself, minus the whole dating a psycho stalker teacher fiasco. I think we could be besties, drink tea, and talk smack about Jenna & Shawna. And we could trade closets, so that's always a plus.

Sophia Bush
It's no secret what an inspiration Sophia Bush is. Between her war on Urban Outfitters and being an equal rights advocate, she still manages to have time to be an amazing actress and promote social entreprenurship. She has high standards and she would be the kind of girlfriend who would never let you skip going to the gym and hit up a Panera instead. I need a Sophia Bush in my life.

Zooey Deschanel
I don't know too much about Zooey Deschanel, except that she is on the cotton commercial and I love red lipstick on her. However, her character, Jess, on New Girl is my favorite. We could make up songs about everything while curling our hair and wearing hipster glasses. It would be the beginning of something beautiful.

Jennifer Lawrence
Um, duh. Of course Jenn La is going to be #1. Her GIFs are what I read when I am having a bad day and need to remember that some people are significantly more awkward than I am. Jenn wins an Oscar and falls UP the stairs and makes the perfect recovery by making fun of herself. I wish I would take life a little less seriously like her. Also since Jenn and I share a mutual love for food, we could have sleepovers and eat fries all night. #besties

Who would your celeb BFFIRLs be?

P.S. Today is Veteran's Day and we honor all of those who have served our country. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service. #AmericaTheBrave
