DRESS: F21 - SAME HERE - $23   //   BLACK WEDGES: DSW - SAME HERE - $69   //   GOLD CLUTCH: c/o TURBAN SPACE - SAME HERE - $41   //   EARRINGS: c/o ROCKSBOX - SIMILAR HERE - $19   //   LIPSTICK: VAMPIRA BY KTD - SAME HERE - $20

I hope you all had a fabulous Mother's Day Weekend. Last week flew by between my 48 hour trip to NYC and my birthday celebrations! I am happy to be one year older and ready to take on the adventures this upcoming year including getting married! Quick note about this adorable LBD: I bought it about two years ago thinking that I would find somewhere to wear it, and I finally did. This baby made its debut on Broadway when we hit the town to see Wicked for my birthday! I know that you always hear that Wicked is amazing, but let me be real with you guys for just a second. It is even better than anticipated. Even my fiance who didn't think he would like the show at all - raved about it. From the production quality to talented cast -- the near 3 hours flew by. If you are ever in NYC or Wicked travels to you, be sure to check out the show. It was everything we hoped it would be!

NEW YORK CITY FASHION

SWEATER: H&M - SAME HERE - $18   //   BLACK JEGGINGS: ZARA - SIMILAR HERE - $35   //   BAG: c/o SHOPBOB - SEE MORE BROWN BAGS HERE   //   NECKLACE: F21 - SIMILAR HERE - $42   //   WEDGES: DSW - SAME HERE - $99

We made it! Yesterday, fiance and I landed in the Big Apple and headed straight to a convention for his work. After a long day of meetings, business cards, and brochures we finally got a chance to relax and hit the town. First stop, the cutest little restaurant in the Flatiron District called ABC Cocina. My sister and her sweet boyfriend made us reservations and picked up the check since they couldn't make it down to have dinner with us for my birthday. It was such a nice gesture, but I would have much preferred their company! Luckily, next week we are headed to Philadelphia to see her graduate from business school. After dinner, we decided to head up to the Empire State Building (something we happened to always skip over when we visited NYC previously) and "WOW!" is all I could say. The view really is breathtaking! I managed to convince Sahir that we should do the audio guide which even he admitted was a good idea at the end. I love learning the history behind the places we visit - it's just so interesting to me. I'm always the one who holds up the line because I want to read all of the signs about how long the workers took to build each floor, what materials they used, etc. Whoops.

We have a full day planned for today too. Be sure to follow along on Instagram at @SimplySabrinanN

WEDNESDAY WISHLIST: Floral Print 2015

1. Floral Blouse - Same Here (Love These too!)   //    2. Floral Heels - Same Here - (Love These too!)   //   3. Floral Dress - Same Here (Love These too!)   //   4. Floral Case - Same Here (Love These too!)   //    5. Floral Romper - Same Here (Love These too!)

Here it is. The spectacular idea that I came up all by myself. Are you ready for it? Spring Florals. I know, ingenious. Okay, okay, jokes aside. I really do love florals for spring and it's amazing to me how the industry can remake such a time-honored pattern every year. This season we are seeing a lot of large floral prints on darker fabrics - think navy, black, plum. Do you remember in 2013 when small print florals were all the rage? Oh, don't get nostalgic on me. These prints are gorgeous and click on all the link above to see more styles!

List of things that are overrated:
-Yoga: As calming and relaxing as yoga can be, there can be much better use of your time, in terms of fitness. I did however once end up in a Hatha yoga class which felt a lot more like a therapy session (not that i'm complaining) and thoroughly enjoyed it. All i'm saying is that if there isn't a "hot" or "fusion" in front of the word, you'd be better off subbing the yoga class for a latin flavored Zumba one.

-Poetry: Are we about that age when we all admit that we had absolutely no idea what any type of poetry that we read meant? I mean unless it rhymes, it's not a poem. #sorrynotsorry

-The Mona Lisa: Have you ever been to Paris? Have you waited in the ridiculously long line to get into the Louve? Only to skip all of the amazing art and follow the signs to the one painting that you really came for... and then found out its an 8.5 x 11? C'mon Da Vinci, do better.

-Turning 21: Do I really need to explain? Unless you can rent a car legally & without obscene fees, you are not a full adult. No need for the long speeches about how this is a pivital time in your life.

-Whole Foods: The aisles really are so small. How do people make it to the checkout without fainting of claustrophobia is the real question. Also, do you really need organic Pineapple? Try a farmer's market next time.

Stay tuned next week on "Thoughts for Thursday" for my list of obscenely underrated things.
