If you didn't know already, I am a huge fan of Vera Bradley! When I was back in college I used to lived for my VB lanyard, overnight bag, and even notebooks. Now that I'm older, I love that the brand has grown up with me. You've seen some of my favorite bags (here & here), but I wanted to share some of my everyday accessories with you guys as well. As always, Vera Bradley, is always about quality and there is no exception when it comes to their jewelry. Believe it or not,  I've owned this blazer for nearly 3 years. It's one of those timeless pieces that you can literally throw on top of any black, white, or neutral colored top and bam! Insta-glam. I'm so happy to have fished it out of my closet - plus - it's absolutely perfect for my Vera Bradley necklace!

WEDNESDAY WISHLIST: Skinny Distressed Jeans

It's no secret that I love jeans and they are all that have been on my mind. I'm looking for the perfect mid-rise, skinny, distressed ankle cut jean (i'm petite!) Seems so simple, why in the world can't I find the perfect pair? -sarcasm intended- Well, in case you are quicker to take the plunge here are two perfect pairs of jeans that meet my qualifications. Okay, I have to be honest. I literally LOVE these jeans. I never thought too much about investing in expensive jeans, thinking "hey, all jeans must be created equal" but that is so far from the truth. The flexibility of premium denim is unmatched, not to mention quality stitching. I love the classic shading on the jeans and distressed is my next target. This is certainly one of many pairs of premium brand jeans that I will soon own. I've seen the promise land. So now, let's do the math:

Average pair of jeans: $50 (Lifecycle: 6 months if washed 1x a month)

assuming you wore the denim 1x a week,

Cost per wear: $2.08 for 6 months

Premium Denim jeans: $150 (Lifecycle: 2-3 years if washed 1x a month - do not dry premium denim in the dryer!)

assuming you wore the denim 1x a week,

Cost per wear: $1.44 for 2 years, and only $.96 if you keep the jeans for 3 years

I'm going to put together a guide to premium denim because I get a lot of questions about it. As someone who is new to this world and very skeptical about purchasing high-end jeans it was something that I was nervous about too. In terms of quality, longevity, fit, and creation - some things just don't compare! I'll share a guide on the blog soon!

THE PERFECT WORK BAG

It took me months. I searched high and low - I went to Target, then I went to Kate Spade and nothing clicked. I wanted a slim, stylish laptop bag but also something that was functional. You know, a laptop pocket & zippers. Why was it so hard to find a good professional bag? Then I finally found it - on eBay! It was perfect and I seriously havent stopped using it since it came in. The only downside was having to wait nearly 3 weeks to get it in. Boo- but alls well that ends well, i'm placing an order for one in navy stat!

It's cold in the office. Really cold. Actually, it's cold everywhere. [yes, i'm in Atlanta] I'm just one of those people who should walk around with a personal heater blanket wrapped around them all the time. Lucky for me, this wookie-style vest does the job - and is more acceptable in public than my snuggie. It's pretty much what i've been living in all winter-long. 

I hope that groundhog is right... I miss my sundresses.

I've been fighting the feeling of getting sick all weekend. I can feel it creeping up on me, but I refuse to let my guard down. I've had to take it easy the last few days, but I have too much going on to let these weather changes get the best of me. I'm going to bundle up and buckle down - time to get things done.
