Okay, I have to be honest. I literally LOVE these jeans. I never thought too much about investing in expensive jeans, thinking "hey, all jeans must be created equal" but that is so far from the truth. The flexibility of premium denim is unmatched, not to mention quality stitching. I love the classic shading on the jeans and distressed is my next target. This is certainly one of many pairs of premium brand jeans that I will soon own. I've seen the promise land. So now, let's do the math:
Average pair of jeans: $50 (Lifecycle: 6 months if washed 1x a month)
assuming you wore the denim 1x a week,
Cost per wear: $2.08 for 6 months
Premium Denim jeans: $150 (Lifecycle: 2-3 years if washed 1x a month - do not dry premium denim in the dryer!)
assuming you wore the denim 1x a week,
Cost per wear: $1.44 for 2 years, and only $.96 if you keep the jeans for 3 years
I'm going to put together a guide to premium denim because I get a lot of questions about it. As someone who is new to this world and very skeptical about purchasing high-end jeans it was something that I was nervous about too.
