BLACK AND WHITE BAROQUE SURPLICE DRESS

DRESS: F21 - SAME HERE - $25   //   BAG: KATE SPADE - SIMILAR HERE - $221   //   MAROON PEEP TOE HEELS - SIMILAR HERE - $99   //
LIPSTICK: NYX IN BRUISED - SAME HERE - $6  //   EARRINGS: KENDRA SCOTT - SAME HERE - $50

How gorgeous is this black & white baroque dress? I wore this outfit to the VOW fashion show and SUJA Juice Happy Hour events earlier this week. The Vow event was put on by the team at America's Mart in Atlanta and as a bride-to-be myself, I was thrilled to have front row seat to the bridal fashion genius! Quick recap: floral lace is very in. SUJA is an organic, non-GMO, cold-pressured juice from a company in the beautiful SoCal. I was fortunate enough to try out their juices for myself last week and seriously I feel like I never tasted fresh until that day. The flavors blended together seamlessly and the variety is endless. When their team invited myself and a few other lady bloggers to their happy hour I knew I had to meet the founder during their rooftop soiree. Lucky for us, the weather in Atlanta is still beautiful and i'm enjoying the summer fashion trends before Fall inevitably makes us trade the cami for the cardigan.

MINT SHIFT DRESS

Shift Dress: Love21 - Similar Here, Here, & Here - $27  //   Maroon Heels: F21 - Similar Here - $40   //  Necklace: eBay

I've always been a fan of shift dresses (seen here), and the color mint - so a combination of the two seemed like a no-brainer. I will say that a drop waist detail on a shift dress style is probably not the best idea. This dress is gorgeous, but shift dresses are made to be boxy and that's part of their charm. Sometimes, I feel like I should just design clothes myself,
maybe someday.

Also, it's Monday, St.Patrick's Day, and Mint is a shade of green. If anyone pinches me, it's on.

WEDNESDAY WISHLIST: Summer Dresses

1   //   2   //   3   //   4

Today's post is all about optimism. Looking forward to a brighter (pun intended) future. The Summer 2014 trends are filling up the runway, and patterns are all the rage. Historically florals have always been big this time of year, but other patterns are making their way off the runway and onto shelves. Here is a roundup of some gorgeous ASOS Summer Dresses and as always, under $50. Happy Shopping!

TUTORIAL THURSDAYS: How To Wear a Dress Like a Skirt

If you have been keeping up with my blog lately (pretty proud of how consistent I have been - If I do say so myself) You know that i'm trying out a few new features here to see what you guys want more of. I've been doing more wishlists (every Wednesday! See here, here, and here), more fashion posts (did you catch this adorable rose gold cuff here?), and more incredible fashion finds (like '5 Shift Dresses Under $50' or '5 Jean Styles for Fall'). I even tried out a "look for less" celebrity style post (here) that got wonderful feedback. Lastly, I had been toying with the idea of creating quick 15 second Instagram video tutorials on fashion, beauty, and a few tips & tricks that I have in my pocket. Last week, I showed you how to do a Ballerina Bun (here) and you guys were so responsive (highest blog views - ever.) This week, I wanted to show you the ridiculously simple way to wear a dress as a skirt. There are so many tutorials out there, but this is my favorite way to remix your wardrobe and get the most out of a purchase.

Please let know what features you would like to see more of in the comments below or through Instagram (@simplysabrinan) or Twitter (@simplysabrina). Be sure to follow me to keep up with all of my style features on the blog!

I really wish Instagram would allow you to upload in HD, because the video quality is pretty awful here. Hopefully the (pin-able) tutorial above gives you an idea of how easy this trick is. All you need is...wait for it... a belt! Preferably a wide belt that fits snug on you. I chose this sweater/dress combination because I wanted the dress to look like a longer skirt, therefore I paired it with a crop sweater. You can use any combination you want!

PRO-tip: You also have the option of using a longer blouse and tucking it into the belt or even allowing the belt to show.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, be sure to let me know what you would like to see next week! Swing by tomorrow for one of my favorite fashion looks!
Happy Remixing!

WRAP IT UP: Printed Wrap Dress

Wrap Dress: Similar Here - $25
Heels: Similar Here - $40
Watch: Anne Klein - Similar Here - $65
Earrings: Kore Luxe - Gifted

If you can count how many wrap dresses you have on one hand, then you are missing out. I adore wrap-dresses and how fun they are. The right dress will fit slim throughout the torso and create a soft A-line shape below the waist. On days like these I choose to pair a neutral look with a bright lip. Classic & Classy.
Where is your favorite wrap-dress from?

FASHION FINDS: MINT SHIFT DRESS & more under $50!

Dress: Love21 - Similar Here - $20
Shoes: LC at Kohls - Similar Here - $30
Necklace: H&M- Similar Here - $13
Bracelet: Gift - Similar Here - $20

Lovely Readers,
Happy Saturday! I have been wanted to put up this post for a while because I recently discovered Shift Dresses and had to share with all of you! A Shift Dress is typically a knee-length dress that is made up of straight lines. The dress hangs loose from the shoulders and has a very little definition throughout the waist and hips. You can think of it as the equivalent of a Straight Jean compared to a Skinny Jean (Bodycon Dress) or Flared Jean (A-line Dress).
Because of the unique shape and style, I am certain that every woman must own one! I got this Mint colored dress at Love 21 online a while back for less than $30, which is an ultimate steal. Where can you get your own? Not to worry, I put together a list of 5 beautiful Shift Dress all under $50!

1. Southwest Bound     -     2.Mixed Stripes     -     3.Cut-Out Detail     -     4.Chelsea Crochet     -     5. Maritza Print

Which one is your favorite?
