PHILOSOPHY: CHAMBRAY & WHITE

Let's review your only true assets. You own your values, your integrity,
your thoughts, your words, your actions, and therefore, your destiny. Are you
proud of what you own? What is your true net worth to the world and the
people around you? Are you really rich or do you just have money?

Would you believe me if I told you that the deep philosophical thought above
is from the front of a foot cream? It's called "Soul Owner" (and yes it's fabulous),
but let's take it for what it is worth for just a second. What is our true value?
What is it that we really want out of life? What is my destiny? Perhaps the more
important question is what is my legacy? A legacy is how we are survived once
we pass. Today I will start taking steps to ensure mine is one that I am proud of.
What about you?

BLUE COWBOY: FALL RIDING BOOTS

Top: Borrowed (thanks Sis!), Pants: Love21, Boots: DSW, Earrings: c/o Kore Luxe

Have you ever had a challenge that you really wanted to try, but are almost
positive that you would fail miserably? The prize may be meager or it may be
marvelous, but the real satisfaction is proving to yourself that you can do it.
I seem to have a list of these lining up and while New Year's seems to be the
most realistic timeframe to start a new challenge, I want to try it sooner.
Let's call it, the "End of the year Resolution" the "EOTYR."
(that's not going to catch on, is it?)

My EOTYR is to attempt the 30x30 Remix. The remix challenge was started by
the fabulous blogger Kendi Everyday. The rules are simple – 30 items of clothing
(including shoes, not including accessories), 30 distinct outfits, 30 days, and
to add insult to injury: no shopping. The challenge is part of a bigger goal, to
create a “Working Closet” that fits your life and helps you cut back on impulse
buys, encourage creativity, and stop emotional shopping binges
-- you know, my weakness.

I'm aiming for November.
What's your EOTYR?

Excuse me... do you like my honey bun?

How adorable. When I told bf that I was blogging about my TopKnot Bun style today, he said "Oh, you mean your honey bun?#precious

Summer is wonder for three things: eating popsicles, extra daylight, and white jeans. Year-round my wardrobe is dulled by the lackluster dull look of blue jeans, until summertime. Summer is when I can bring out the mint colored twill pants & the coral colored skinny jeans. Summer is when I can wear white all I want and be untroubled by the daunting "Anti-White Labor Day" mantra. Summer is where it's at.
