These last few days have been such a blur and due to a lack of sleep (& wi-fi) I wasn't able to blog at all! I hope you all were able to follow my trip to Chicago for my dance competition through Instagram. My team and I had been preparing for this since June and we just finished the 3 day national competition in Chicago. I'm happy to announce that we came in 2nd place and brought home the silver medal! The first place team was comprised of a great group of guys who happen to also be from ATL and good friends of mine - so even more to celebrate! I sincerely enjoyed being back on the stage after 3 years, and can't wait to keep the traditional alive for next year -- but in the meantime, being back on a schedule sounds pretty stellar.

You know those days, when you just need to be comfy? This was one of those days. 

I'm trying to keep up with my New Year's Resolutions (breaking them 10 days in seems 

a little pathetic). Especially my 5 Year Memory Book. If you don't follow my through 

Twitter or Instagram you may not know what i'm talking about. 

This is a picture of my 5 Year Memory book that I hope to update every day with my

 thoughts, memories, comments, and quotes. I strongly believe that the next 5 years will

 change everything and be the most monumental years. Not only will I be able to enjoy my 

memories every year on the same day and once my 5 year book is complete, but I 

hope to pass this to my future children when they are my age- so that they can have a 

first hand glimpse of what my life was like.

Hey lovely readers, long time no read. I know. I was being the fabulous jet-setter 

that I am and traveling the world. Well, not really- just to New York- 

but Manhattan could be it's own country.

I had a wonderful trip and look forward to posting my "Week in Instagram" tomorrow 

and hopefully some great looks now that i'll be back to my routine.

I wanted to thank my loyal readers for sticking through my vanishing act and I 

pinky promise that one of my New Years resolutions will be to post regularly.

I have some exciting ideas lined up including a few gift guides for holiday shopping. 

Of course I will do a for him & for her (& for all budgets) but I'm open to other suggestions.

I hope you liked the look of today. A few weeks ago I did a post on Maroon 5, and 

posted that Maroon would be a big player in fall fashion. I stick to my prediction and 

came up with this simple look to show how versatile maroon/burgundy can be. 

Stay tuned to see me pair these pants with all types of neutrals (white, black, gray)

 and maybe even a cheetah print. Here's a little more black & burgundy inspiration:
