Happy Thursday! I hope you either enduring a warm snowday or you avoided it all together. The light rain here in Atlanta is depressing, especially when you were planning on building  a very handsome snowman.

For years I cringed every time I heard someone reference combat boots. Immediately an image of Justin Bobby on the beach would scar my mind and any urge I had, quickly disintegrated. BUT - there was just something about the lace up style that got me on every level. A few months later, I found the most amazing pair on Onlineshoes.com. They are by Aerosoles, so you know that they were comfortable - and they screamed style without the bulkiness of a traditional combat boots. The heel adds height (I do wish it was higher) but it feels like i'm in flats all day. Either way, i'm sold. Stylish combat boots (+under $60!) - done.

It's back-to-work week for me. I spent the last few days at the most beautiful wedding in Florida so going back to the 9-5 grind is tough. On the brightside, i'm excited to officially begin my year and start working towards those resolutions.

So, it's been about a month since I received these amazing jeans & boots from Zappos, and the only thing that's changed is that I am even more obsessed with them. Paige Denim has a reputation and it's well deserved - you can feel the quality of the jean to the touch. As someone who rarely wears jeans, I think investing in one quality pair makes a lot of sense. There is longitivtiy in the brand and when you break the numbers down, it really is worth it. Not to mention, Zappos has an extraordinary shipping/return policy. I got my order within 2 days of placing it! 

The Freebird Bolo boots were the perfect pair for me. The dual zipper detail is actually really unique because I can adjust the fit of the boot - zipped up all the way for a more snug, sleek look and zipped down for a relaxed fit. Being as small as I am, a heel is a must. I loved the stacked heel on this boot because it gave me height without the discomfort of feeling like I was in heels all day. Perfection.

Summer is quickly fading, and as we all try to hold onto the reigns - there are a few things about fall that I can't help but fall in love with. It's finally Friday! I say that because this week felt longer than ever. Fiance and I will be heading to Turks & Caicos for a short vacation next week and I couldn't be more excited to get out of this cold weather. (Remember my post about the only good things about winter?) 

On the bright side, every time I see our beautiful Christmas tree it lights up my day. It's incredible how something so meager can completely change your mood. Why are lights & sparkly things so pretty?

I am also extraordinarily behind on my holiday gift shopping, so i'll probably dedicate some time to that over the weekend. However, I did find some pretty great gift wrapping inspiration this week so i'll share that on Sunday in my 'Links to Love' segment. Now, only if I could find things to wrap...
