Last Saturday was such a busy day, but I absolutely loved every second of it. Bright and early I got to see all my favorite ladies of the Southern Blogger Society at their CoffeeTalk event. We got to meet some fabulous ladies speak from ShopSense, Recipe For Press, and Ahalogy who gave insights into maximizing reach via Pinterest and media relations. Afterwards, we mingled with other bloggers and sponsors like ASOSIntimacyKendra Scott(PLÃ) BeautyDress Up, & Dermalogica.

Such a fun weekend, but hoping this one will be a little more low-key! I'm still playing catch up!

FAUXY LADY: Faux Fur Hooded Vest

Lace Top: LC at Kohls - Similar Here - $14
Black Jeggings: LC at Kohls - Similar Here - $21
Faux Fur Vest: Forever 21 - Same Here - $40
Tote: Kate Spade - Similar Here - $239
Boots - H&M - Same Here - $119

This is actually happening. It's cold outside -- and not like ooh, what a nice breeze cold no, like frigid cold. I swear that anyone who ever moved to Atlanta for it's predictable weather is sorely regretting it.

I digress. Let's talk about this vest. I know, I know -- and its only $40. When I read the reviews of this piece there were people complaining that the vest had a hood. Are you kidding me? The hood is obviously the best part (eskimo mode optional). Also, if the modest price tag didn't give it away this vest is obviously made of faux fur.

I've been noticing myself getting more sensitive to animal rights. Not in a Khloe K PETA ad / flour bombing type of way, but I do not believe in skinning for clothing. I love fashion just as much as the next guy significantly more than anyone I know, and this is just something that we can do without.

Are you pro faux?

JEFFREY CARES: Fashion Event with Atlanta Style Bloggers

I had such a great time at the Jeffrey Cares Media Preview event this week! It was so good to catch up with my beautiful blogger friends and meeting many new ones. Jeffrey Atlanta hosted an exclusive preview event for Atlanta area media and bloggers giving us a sneak peak at the trends that will be featured at next week's event. Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2013 will be held on Monday, August 26th at the American Cancer Society Center in Downtown Atlanta and this year's event will benefit Susan  G. Komen for the Cure (Atlanta chapter) & the Atlanta AIDS Fund.

I was thrilled to be a part of such a lovely Atlanta event. Jeffrey Atlanta has been an industry leading example of a brand that gives back -- and has been doing so for 21 years!

You can find out all about Jeffrey Fashion Cares on their website, Facebook page, or Twitter account.
