HOW TO WEAR A ROMPER FOR YOUR PEAR-SHAPE

Okay, confession time. I have always walked  run in the opposite direction when it comes to rompers. I was a little bummed because frankly, some of them are so cute - but when it comes to body style I just didn't think I could pull it off. Don't get me wrong - I love my body. Even more so in the recent years, but I have come to accept that I will probably never wear a bodycon dress, and i'm okay with that. So shorts are generally out of the question. When The Mint Julep asked to collaborate and I saw this color I knew I had to take the plunge. I was terrified (okay, i'm being a littler dramatic - but I was really out of my comfort zone) and I'm so glad I did!

Here are my three tips for wearing a romper for your pear-shaped body:

1. Wear heels, the higher the better

Elongating your legs is a great way to balance out your body. People will notice how stellar your long legs are, and who doesn't love an opportunity for sky-high heels!

2. Aim for solid colors

Don't get me wrong, I love prints - but when you are venturing into unfamiliar territory, it's best to start simple and jazz up your look with accessories. In this post, I chose to pair my hot pink romper with a lime green necklace. Just make the look your own!

3. Choose a romper with a belt, or add a belt 

With styles like this, accentuating your waist is essential! This romper came with a matching sash, but you can always mix and match and add any belt you want. The goal is to show off your waist so that you don't get lost in the fabric of a one piece.

I've rediscovered accessories. Now that we are finally starting to set up my closet, I can actually see what I have. Now the real question, what was your favorite ad from last night? I loved the Always "#LikeAGirl" ad! I saw it a few months ago online and loved it then too. Such a powerful message, but "tugging on the heart strings" seemed to be a common trend this year.
