Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope your day is full of pool-time, BBQ, 

and lots of sun. I'll be heading to the Braves game later this evening 

(once I find the appropriate minimal yet stylish baseball game ensemble-- 

which will probably end up being shorts, a t-shirt, and a fishtail braid in my hair).

I've been getting back into wearing lots of braids lately. The look above is a 

simple half updo with a braided headband as an accent. The look is super 

simple, but I can post a tutorial if you guys are curious. Yesterday, I wore a

 topknot with a wrap-around braid at the base-- another simple look that kept 

my hair away from my face all day but was still very pretty (pictures to come!)

I love, love this blazer. It's lightweight, seeksucker, and totally versatile.

I can't wait to pair this with a summer dress as soon as it gets warmer. Clearly the groundhog doesn't know what he is talking about, it's already Spring in Atlanta!

Colorblocking

This outfit has both a statement necklace AND colorblocking. YAY! I've been trying to figure out how to put these two together forever and I have to say, I did a pret-ty good job!  

That dingy yellow tint you see is the light that I had to turn on in order to take pictures. This is what happens when you are up earlier than the sun.

The Pursuit of the Perfect Pout

Fashion blogging is hard, and by hard, I mean awkward. Rarely do you see someone standing in front of a brick wall and running back and forth to their 12 second tripod in heels and think, "oh that's normal."

Awkwardness aside, I really love blogging. This started as a little project and has developed into my personal fashion diary. It's a way that I can connect to my network and share all the great things that I find and try. (hello cookies) 

Thanks for thinking i'm slightly interesting- or that I dress well,

 makes the awkwardness a little more worth it.
