CHAMBRAY BLOUSE: FRANCHESAS - SIMILAR HERE - $ 75  //   CLUTCH: BORROWED FROM MAE OF MAE AMOR STYLE - SAME HERE  //   HEELS: LARK BY KRISTEN CAVELLARI BY CHINESE LAUNDRY - SAME HERE - $159   //  PENCIL SKIRT: DILLARDS - SIMILAR STYLES HERE  //   LIPSTAIN: KAT VON D IN 'VAMPIRA' - SAME HERE - $20

This was probably one of my favorite looks of SBScon! When I was packing for SBS, I had no idea what to wear to any of the events. Luckily, I had my amazing roommate Mae of Mae Amor help me style all weekend. I bought this sequin skirt about a year ago at the DIllard's One Day Sale, and this was the first time that I managed to figure out how to wear it. Pairing sequin with chambray took this skirt from date night to day-time, and I can't wait to wear it again!

CHAMBRAY SHIRT & CORAL PRINTED SKIRT

TOP: GAP - SIMILAR HERE - $60   //   PRINTED SKIRT: F21 - SIMILAR HERE - $12   //   BAG: c/o GREGORY SYLVIA - SAME HERE - $215   //   HEELS: JESSICA SIMPSON - SIMILAR HERE - $92   //   NECKLACE: EBAY - SAME HERE - $4   //   BRACELET: AMERICA'S MART

Happy Monday morning! I trust everyone had a splendid weekend. This is one of my favorite transitional looks from season to season. The light Chambray blouse paired with a printed shorter skirt adds dimension to the ensemble. I chose a simple ballerina bun but with a twist (see the braid at the base?) My weekend concluded with the 2015 Miss America pageant (cups, really?) Did anyone else catch the telecast?

TL4L: CHAMBRAY ON DENIM

1   //   2   //   3   //   4

I love being a part of the blogging community, and one of the best parts is finding other bloggers that you share style inspiration with. One of my favorite bloggers is Rach from Pink Peonies! Not only is she stunning, but her casual and feminine style is always a source of fashpiration for me. If you haven't checked out her blog, be sure to do so! You won't be disappointed!

CHAMBRAY + LACE

CHAMBRAY SHIRT: GAP - SIMILAR HERE - $60   //   LACE PANTS: ANN TAYLOR LOFT - SIMILAR HERE - $60   //
NECKLACE: VERA BRADLEY - SIMILAR HERE - $6   //   LEOPARD HEELS: BCBG - SAME HERE

It's been a crazy few days, but i'm trying to keep it together. Getting dressed has been pretty effortless these days. I'm starting to find comfort in my style and without putting much thought into what I chose to wear. Maybe i'm getting the hang of this "style" thing afterall. Here is my version of "sweats" in public - they are lace + are accompanied by leopard pumps. Duh.

GOT THE BLUES' - Chambray & Boyfriend Blazer

I got so many comments asking me how my braid was so, well, fluffy. It's a subtle difference, but there are three steps for a more dramatic side braid. Step 1) Part your hair on the opposite side of your natural part, if you have a center part (lucky!) just choose the side that feels most unnatural and create a deep side part. Step 2) Braid your hair starting with the group furthest away from your face. This will create that little bang pocket near your face. Step 3) Pull the braid apart, gently. Try flattening pieces of the braid by tugging at the strands. This is the key to a fuller, fluffier braid. Voilà!

What's your favorite beauty trick?

TOP 5 OSCAR 2014 MOMENTS - 30X30 - Day 26

Chambray Shirt: GAP - Similar Here & Here - $30   //    Striped Skirt - F21 - Similar Here - $12   //
Brown Booties: Forever 21 - Similar Here - $35   //   Belt: Fiore - Similar Here - $12
I solemnly swear, that I will not wear this striped skirt or chambray shirt again. As i'm getting into the last 3 days of my 30x30 i'm actually starting to feel... (dare I say it?) nostalgic. It's graduation goggles, I know it. I'm trying to get these last few pairings that i've been planning in to end with a bang.

Did you guys watch the Oscars? I had to be somewhere around 7-10, so I taped it and avoided all social media in the intrem. Worked out pretty well, that is until CNN & Washington Post started e-mailing me the winners. Regardless I enjoyed the show and here were my top 5 thoughts:

1) Ellen is HILARIOUS. She is my favorite (daytime) talk show by far. She rocked the stage last night, and I died laughing at the pizza debacle.

2) How stunning was Lupita Nyong'o? I can't tell you how much I wanted her to win. Not only did that dress look incredible on her, but she is so poetic. I was thoroughly impressed.

3) Kicking off the show with Pharell was the best. idea. ever. Someone deserves a raise, whoever made that call. Go you!

4) Jared Leno's speech. Of course stars will thank their agents, directors, and movie teams -- but it is so touching when someone dedicates their entire speech to their family. I was so moved by Jared Leno's speech dedicated to his single mother.

5) Kerry Washington asking for two slices of pizza - Enough. Said.

What did you think about the awards? What was your favorite moment?

B. STRONG: Lavender Lace Shorts

Lavender Lace Shorts: Here ($49)
Chambray Blouse: Here ($18) - White Peplum: Here ($44) - Black Boyfriend Blazer: Here ($50)

I've arrived in Boston! I'll be spending the next 5 days in this beautiful city and can't wait to share my style inspiration with you. Boston is such a fun place filled with energetic people. Yesterday was sunny and I caught a glimpse of the Bostonian Summer Style so here is something I put together. It's my first 1 Piece - 3 Ways and today will feature these beautiful lavender lace shorts from Club Monoco.

It's really important for my wardrobe to be versatile because when I invest in a piece I have to visualize how I can wear it. These shorts are great because they can be dressed up, down, and all around. The key is to compliment them not only with different tops but also different styles. Under each top you can see how I would wear them, and hopefully this will inspire you to see your wardrobe a little differently.

How would you wear these?
