Well, Fall has officially taken off in Atlanta. It's cold - I mean, a southern's igloo (i.e. 59 degrees). On the plus side, it's perfect running weather! Early morning and late night runs are the best and I can't wait to get back at it. Before I took the summer off to dance (cardio is cardio), I was running close to 10 miles a week which may not seem like a lot, but for someone who got a B in P.E. - i'll admit it. It was a huge accomplishment. I'm hoping that 2015 is the year I do my first 5k, no better time then now to start training!

It's the times that I see my hair like this that I realize how obscenely long it's gotten -and naturally- want to chop it off. Unfortunately considering my hair grows about an inch a year, that isn't in the cards for me. The wedding is nearly one year away, so it looks like i'll be putting the breaks on the haircut and embracing my locks at least until the honeymoon.

Happy Saturday! 

So I finally did it. I ventured away from my traditional straightener curls to the "magic wand". This particular HerStyler wand was a gift and i've linked to it above. It is a steal at $19, and with Amazon prime it will arrive in 2 days. Using a wand is a bit of an adjustment, particularly when i'm used to the "no waiting game". Holding the wand upside down for 30 seconds does take a toll, especially with how hot it gets. There is a glove included in the set, but truth be told - it doesn't get help much. All in all, I liked the final product and could see myself using the wand to get this style again. My whole head took about 30-40 minutes, but the loose leftover curls did last to a second day so that's a plus. What do you think about the look?

Happy Monday! I finally had a chance to get out of town and enjoy a day (and a half) at the beach. My favorite part? Well, we spent the morning playing in the waves, laying by the pool, and finally relaxing in the jacuzzi. Some afternoon showers cut out beach day short and we headed in around lunchtime to avoid the storms passing through. After a brief lunch and nap I woke up to a quiet condo and headed over to the wrap-around balcony with a blanket and a book. I finally made more progress reading "The Fault In Our Stars" than I had made in weeks at home. Watching the rain come down with a view of the beach was so serene, it was absolutely breathtaking!

Now it's counting down the days till the next vaca...
