JEWEL TONES WITH ROCKSBOX

DRESS: ASOS - SIMILAR HERE - $20   //   HEELS: F21 - SIMILAR HERE - $33   //   BAG: c/o SHOPBOP - SIMILAR HERE - $535   //   NECKLACE: c/o ROCKSBOX - SIMILAR HERE - $35

When Rocksbox first approached me to try out their monthly service for a personal curated jewelry box, I had to admit that I was a bit skeptical. The idea of sending jewelry back and forth made me nervous, but I can't tell you how effortless the entire process has been. The pre-paid return label makes it so simple to send back the items that I am just not into. I can always send pieces back before or after I've worn them and I've already purchased two of the six pieces that I have received! Not to mention, I thought you guys would be into trying Rocksbox, and getting your first box free (use promo code 'simplysabrinaxoxo' at checkout), but the number of you who have signed up [[and loved it]] is over 3x the number I expected! I'm so glad that you have tried out Rocksbox, what do you think of the subscription service so far?

PRETTY IN PINK

Pink Swing Dress - Same Here - $35   //   Heels: LC at Kohls - Similar Here - $30   //
Necklace: eBay - Same Here (#42) - $4

Can I be honest? I love this look. The silhouette of this dress is perfection and the loose fit keeps the dress fun & flirty. Paired with a dazzling statement necklace, the high neck is accentuated which is exactly what I wanted. I'm ready for bold & bright colors this season, are you?

Enjoy the sunshine my loves. See you Monday!

CALL ME MIDI - 30X30 - Day 10

Black Sweater: Express - Same Here - $35   //   Midi Skirt: Asos - Similar Here & Here - $33   //
Heels: JLO for Kohls - Same Here - $30   //   Gold Belt: Mango - Similar Here - $6

It's outfit number 10 (and the end of the month #sad) of my 30 x 30 and it's the first time that i've worn this midi skirt. I adore the look that this knee length skirt gives, and certainly plan on investing in more. This beauty is from Asos, but I definitely want to get another bright color, preferably in chiffon, and perhaps pleated.

I think the best way to first experiment with midi skirts is black (of course), a low kitten heel, and a subtle pop of color. I went with gold here, but there are lots of options. As a petite girl, this style wasn't something that I thought would look good on me, but I was pleasantly surprised. There are great options out there for both midi skirts & dresses, so give it try.

How do you feel about the Midi trend?

BIRTHDAY WISHLIST

Birthday Wishlist

We're getting close to the end (or start?) of another year! My 23rd birthday is right around the corner and every year it gets harder and harder to answer the question "So what would you like for your birthday?" I think as you get older you stop counting gifts and genuinely appreciate those who remember your birthday and take time out of their lives to celebrate with you. However, i'm not one to turn down an excuse to make a list of pretty things so here's what I haven't gotten around to buying myself.

1. The Clarisonic Mia - You have to be living under a rock (or avoiding all beauty / fashion bloggers) if you haven't heard about this amazing invention. Beauty gurus rave about it and I can't wait to try it out for myself. Folks swear that it's the best possible cleanser for your face, and who doesn't love a pretty face?

2. Ipsy Box - I've gone back and forth a few times about switching from Birchbox to Ipsy and even asked my followers on Twitter (@simplysabrina) if they recommend jumping ship. After thoughtful consideration, i've decided to make the move. Birchbox is a great introduction to beauty subscription boxes but after perfume sample after perfume sample i'm ready for something new (though I have gotten some pretty awesome things TY,BB!) Ipsy is a beauty box from YouTube guru Michelle Phan and features a few full size (not sample size) products every month in a pretty makeup bag - all for $10/month. I'm in.

3. Naked 2 - I got Naked one about 3 years ago and have loved it ever since. I hesitated at first to get Naked 2 because I thought many of the colors were overlapping or too similar, but i'm ready for a new neutral palette. I think Urban Decay did a great job creating these palettes because they are a haven for brown eyes. Gotta get my hands on this one!

4. Notebooks - I'm a sucker for notebooks, and I love trying out new ones. I've been using Moleskin for about 2 years now and really enjoy the simplicity of the stationary, but I might be ready for ... wait for it .. unlined! With continued fear of slanted cursive, I think I can enjoy the freedom of an unlined notebook and am excited to finally invest in one.

5. Laptop Tote - I had my eye on this beauty by Asos for a while now, and the daunting "you snooze you loose" prophecy came true: sold out. It's so important to have a stable laptop bag that doesn't scar your shoulder or put add unnecessary pressure. This one from Asos looks like it fits the bill.

6. Kindle gift card -  While it's probably true that i'll spend the majority of any Kindle gift card on guilty pleasure Lauren Conrad books, I would actually love this. Normally I am morbidly against any gift card gifts because I think they are less thoughtful and impersonal (we even put a ban on them during Christmas!) this may just be an exception. Another exception is this great service called Giftly, which you should check out if you haven't already!

7. Monogram necklace - I've been spying one of these for quite a while now and since i've gotten engaged (yay!) it's moved to the top of my list. I think monograms go out of style pretty quickly, but always manage to make a come-back. I love the 1 inch gold necklace!

That's it for me! What's on your wishlist?

CAMEO: Sister Style

Denim Snap top:Anthropologie (similar here: @Forever 21 $30)
Brown Belt: F21 (similar here:  @Dorothy Perkins $9)
Black Leggings: Zara (similar here: TopShop @Nordstrom $36)
Brown Riding Boots: The Tannery (Boston) similar here: @Aldo $90

Meet Salimah. She's a beautiful, talented, and extraordinarily smart girl.
Oh yeah, and she's my sister.
As you can tell we have different style, but always a few of the same elements.
She's a northerner-- (hello, monochome) but she inspires me to add a little more
edginess to my wardrobe. We only get to see each other once every few months
so it's important to do the things we enjoy together like baking, watching chick
flicks, sharing good books to read, and styling each other. Salimah is the guru when
it comes to great articles, particularly focusing on entrepreneurship, women in
business, and what's going on around the world. You can see for yourself and follow
her on Twitter here: @salimahn

So here's the real question: twins or not at all?

Each twinkling star is passed along to you with a special wish;
