Last week I attended a luncheon with Vera Bradley and some of my favorite Atlanta style bloggers. We met at the Westin Peachtree Plaza and had a delicious meal while hearing from the leaders of the Vera Bradley empire. You know, it's amazing that VB has become a household name to all women-- and men. Everyone can identify the cotton quilted printed duffle bags, luggage, and accessories as the iconic print that allows women to express their creative side. The highlight of the evening was hearing from the co-founder of Vera Bradley, Barbara Bradley Beakgaar, about her vision and how the company started from scratch. (Also, can I please look like her when i'm older?) Barbara was sassy, funny, and incredibly well dressed! It was actually on a Delta flight at the ATL airport that she and her co-founder looked around and saw all of the monotonous luggage that inspired them to create what we now know as Vera Bradley.

The team from VB shared some new products that they are anticipating for Spring 2015 and Fall 2015 including, wait for it, handbags! The CEO of Vera Bradley also spoke (how lucky are we?) about how Vera has become a household name for school and travel - but why should women who love the brand have to leave it for when they need a work tote? We saw the most divine leather & faux leather handbags, laptop bags, and work totes. I'm talking rich colors like sapphire blue with a colorful lining that is true to the VB brand!

After the luncheon we traveled with the VB team to see the showroom at the America's Mart in downtown. It was such a lovely afternoon and I was thrilled to be a part of it. Can't wait to see what new things come from Vera Bradley. We've grown up with them, now they are growing with us!
