I hope you guys enjoyed my post on our Friday Series about formal wedding attire. This week I wanted to cover what is included in "Black-Tie" attire for a wedding. This is for the fanciest of formal events (with the exception of White Tie which is awfully rare). Black Tie events are to occur after 6 PM in the evening. If the invitation reads this attire then it is customary to wear a floor-length gown in a preferred dark color - Black is not mandatory, but dark is.
Black Tie Wedding Attire Dress Code:
-Floor length
-Beaded fabrics are okay
-Accessorize with gold or diamond jewelry to offset the black/dark tones
Ways to play it up:
A rhinestone clutch can so a long way here, as can those designer heels. Don't shy away from a sexy stiletto, it will look great through the slit of your black gown.
I hope you enjoyed parts 1, 2, 3 of this series! Feel free to leave a comment below with ideas for other series you would like to see!
