I'm really happy to announce that I am in a transitional phase with my blog. You may start seeing small changes within the next week or so, but I hope to completely relaunch within a month (but maybe sooner!) I've made a lot of big decisions and investments (new equipment, resources, partnerships, campaigns, software, and groups) to help take website to the next level. Stay tuned for a big announcement headed your way soon!
It's crazy how quickly fashion changes. Not just for clothing, but jewelry as well. Last year I swear I purchased at least 12 statement necklaces about this time of year. This year, I see myself gravitating towards the same pieces and decided that maybe I need a jewelry refresh. Small delicate pieces are very much in style right now. My favorite thing to do is to layer the pieces (as seen here & here). Here are some of my favorite gold jewelry pieces that are perfect for layering (and under $50)
It's getting to that point (here in Atlanta) where you need to dress two different climates if you plan to be out all day. This morning I was channeling my favorite sweatshirt to dance practice and in the evening, a jacket over this pretty red lace blouse. But somewhere in the middle the weather was perfection. I paired my favorite summer skirt with a quarter sleeve top for date night with my handsome hubby... Speaking of, today is his birthday and since I know he will be reading this: Teddy, thank you for always loving me and supporting all of my dreams. You are the best person I know and I'm so lucky to have you in my life. I hope all of your wishes come true this year!
A few years ago, one of my favorite bloggers, Sydney from The Daybook, rocked the most gorgeous purple tights in a Fall styled outfit. Since then, it's been on my mind. How to wear colored tights for me? Last year, I experimented with navy tights and I think it went pretty well. Feeling ambitious, I ordered a pair of wine & hunter green tights to add some color to my fall wardrobe and this is what I've learned:
1. Pair colored tights with skirts, dresses, or long tops
Shorts and tights are a big no. Just stop, never, don't do it.
2. Make sure the tights are visible.
If you are wearing a longer top, like the one above, opt for shorter boots to really display the color. Shorter dress? Go ahead with your tall boots. It's all about proportion.
3. Treat your tights like an accessory
Just because you're wearing colored tights, doesn't mean you need to always wear solids. In my Navy Tights post from last year, I paired it with a printed dress. Here, I chose a white top but complemented it with bold accessories! Balance your outfit with a mix of neutrals and prints.
That's it! Go Wild! How will you wear your colored tights?

When I first got my Apple Watch as a wedding gift, I was thrilled! I have been sad since I lost my Nike Fuelband in Rose Gold (which they don't make anymore) at SBScon this summer. The Apple Watch seemed like a great alternative to a fitness band since it has a heart rate monitor + all the extras. I first got the watch in silver and later was able to exchange it for the gold (my mom, the gift-giver, encouraged it!) This was KEY for me! I wear gold accessories all the time, and having my watch blend into my jewelry was ideal. The original band that the watch came was an antique white color, which was nice but not really what I was looking for. Initially, I thought I would just take whatever band came with the watch and find an alternative on Amazon - there are a ton of them there for so cheap! However, when the sales associate showed me the Walnut color band, it was perfect! The color looks almost blush on my skin tone, and complements the gold watch so well. Now I wear my watch everyday and pair it with a mix of different textures and gold-themed bracelets and bangles from brands like Alex and Ani, Kendra Scott, and even Forever 21! I've linked to all my favorite bracelets above!

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw a sneak peek of this gorgeous dress while I was honeymooning in Santorini. I bought this dress specifically for the trip and I couldn't wait to wear it. When it first came in I was a little hesitant, to be honest, I didn't know how it worked. There was a loop-like piece and 2 extra sashes. After a little troubleshooting, I figured it out and was immediately in love. The dress was so different and just perfect for spending a day vacationing in it and for $26, it was a steal!
